Granny moved to Michigan from Arkansas in the late 1930s. The country was still in the throws of the Great Depression. Granny's step-brother moved to Michigan first and found success in the auto industry, so he sent the invitation to the rest of the family to move up. Great Grandpa Sanderlin was able to find work when they got here and it was the beginning of a whole new life for Granny. Here is a clip of her explaining some about that move.
Treasure Talks Podcast
Thank you for visiting Granny's page. This page will be dedicated to information concerning the "Treasure Talks with Granny" series that she and I are conducting. I will chime in periodically with thoughts and comments about each recording session and/or Granny memories/stories.
Grandma DeLisle
Granny shared with me an amazing story of Grandma DeLisle (Grandpa's mom) earlier today. I felt that I needed to share this....
Love you all.
Happy Day!!!!
Hello friends and family. As most of you know, we are anxiously approaching the big 90th birthday party for our favorite lady (Hazel Lee DeLisle). In preparation of this big day, Granny and I have embarked on project that will bring her into the digital age.
For the past couple of months Granny and I have been engaging in a series of talks/interviews in which she is sharing her life's story for posterity and to, hopefully, share some insight and wisdom with the generations that follow her. She has lived through many life altering events, both personal and globally.
I will be posting some clips from these conversations to this site periodically, as well as quick blog posts covering the material discussed. We welcome any and all participation from the peanut gallery. Please visit the contact page and submit thoughts/ideas/questions for Granny and I.
Thank you. Glory Be and a Cookie!

A Couple of Quickies
This is a test to see how the sharing of this audio will work. Below are a couple of quick clips of Granny and I discussing topics like being Granny, not using hair dye anymore and seeing Grandpa again. If this works properly, we continue to post links in this fashion. If not, I will figure out another way to share....
